Our mission is to promote vibrant communities and a healthy natural environment while encouraging long-term economic vitality in Vermont.
The fund supports leadership and innovation in three primary areas:

- Improving the sustainability and viability of agricultural enterprise and food security and affordability;
- Encouraging vibrant compact settlements surrounded by working farms and forests.
This web portal provides an introduction to our mission and our approach to our work in Vermont. It also represents a way for us to share with others what we have learned from our grantmaking, the research we commission, the convenings we host, and from the many Vermonters who work towards goals that complement ours.
Again, we invite you to contact us if you would like more information about our work or if you would like to suggest a report or reference to include under "Learning Resources."
